Butterflies

My writing's been a little all over the place of late. I got a little FOMO'd I think, a little distracted. I got close to completing the horror story, got to V2, and then decided I didn't really like it at all and left it, then went back to working on my portfolio, and then tried to write a game for some reason. I just wanted to. It's important to allow these things to develop, non?

The horror story really annoyed me, but I should just finish it, start sending it, move on. It's a bit shit, I think, but whatever. Just finish it and do something else. But I must finish it.

The game thing does seem to be progressing a little, which is actually awesome. I've started to talk to people on Discord about doing a jam on Itch.io. Nice to do something different and learn new skills with others. It's fun. I really hope we get it done. They seem like a nice bunch.

With regards to game writing, I just have to make stuff in a team to move forward here. There's no shortage of people looking to make stuff. I can tap up contacts as much as I like, but at the end of the day it's all about results. Like, this would be in a team with narrative (me), sound design, two programmers and an artist, and it'll be made in Unity. Great experience for me.

And yeah, I looked at the work I'd done on the horror writing portfolio earlier, and I've already done a bunch. I'm going to rethink one of the main samples and write another, but the rest of it should be easy. Again, I just need to finish it. Felt a little stuck for a second there.
